A cancer diagnosis today is different than what it meant yesterday. And what it will mean tomorrow will be different from today.
Take a moment to see the changing face of cancer.
Established in 1947, the Women’s Board proudly funds cancer research at The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. We support some of the most outstanding research scientists in the world and provide “seed funding” for the most innovative research in the field today. The hallmark of our impact is that we fund early-stage cancer research, the type that would not receive support from the federal government until a track record is established. Initiatives funded by the Women’s Board often become the basis for bench and clinical trials that lead to new frontiers in cancer treatment. The Women’s Board raises funds through several efforts: the Grand Auction, the Annual Appeal and the Hunter Derby. For more information please click here.
